UKHostway currently operates state-of-the-art Data Centres located in Europe and North America. They are strategically located within easy reach of primary Internet Backbone hubs, and away from areas that pose any risk of natural disaster.

The Data Centres themselves are equipped with ‘best of breed’ security systems and are under constant surveillance for maximum physical security.

UKHostway multi-homed with Time Warner Telecom and XO Communications. This ensures the fastest and the most reliable connectivity service for our hosting customers.

Constant climate control is accomplished with computer controlled HVAC systems with back-up systems on stand-by. The power is routed through UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supplies) for protection against power failures and interruptions.

Our Datacenter is in a secure location in Spokane, Washington.

Your server is custom built from top quality components. The design of the servers stems from years of tried and tested systems proven to be dependable and reliable - no mass produced white boxes! Our blended fiber service from major providers ELI, XO Communications and Time Warner Telecom means we are multi-homed and ready to handle all of your server's traffic needs.

Multi-Homed Network:
Providers included are Time Warner Telecom, XO Communications, and ELI. We also have fiber to the main POP building in Spokane, so we have access to all providers with a presence in the Inland Northwest.

Redundant Routers:
We are running dual Cisco routers for redundancy. The routers are Cisco 12000 Series routers which can handle an OC48 and scale from 2.5 Gbps/slot to 40 Gbps/slot capacity, enabling carrier-class IP/MPLS core and edge networks.

Redundant Power:
All servers are placed on circuits that have UPS backup power. We also have a Cummins diesel generator with 350,000 Watt Capacity that can power the entire facility.

Fire Suppression System:
The ECARO gas based system is the latest in technology developed to extinguish fire without damaging equipment or people. It is redundant and enters from both ends of the datacenter

Temperature Control:
Redundancy in the HVAC system insures consistent temperatures in any conditions. Six HVAC 25-ton cooling units are mounted in strategic locations of the datacenter. Each unit is capable of handling the cooling for the entire datacenter. The system is also fitted with an extensive filtering system for dust and particle removal.

Closed Circuit Video Camera Surveillance:
Every angle is covered by this closed circuit system. It is also equipped with motion sensors for additional protection.

Biometrics:
The entries are secured by biometric scanners that require identification cards and finger print ID. for entry.

Metal Cage Security:
Once inside the biometric entry a second wall of security is in place. High strength metal cage reaching to the ceiling protects the inner area. Access is only available with specially programmed ID. Cards that grant only individuals with special clearance entry through the metal cage.

Static Free Environment:
The entire Datacenter sets on a raised floor. The floor is made of specially designed tiles to reduce the chance of static electricity.
